Burgtec settled on 115° of ovality after extensive prototyping, landing on the sweet spot that shrinks the dead spot at the top and bottom of the stroke without sacrificing the flawless chain retention their Thick Thin profile is known for. The physics works in your favour: a larger effective gear where you're pushing hardest through the downward stroke, and a smaller effective gear to spin through the dead spot and get back into the power phase faster. Your 30T ring runs a 32T equivalent through the power phase and 28T through the dead spot; your 32T runs 34T and 30T respectively. Machined from 7075 aluminium and compatible with 10, 11 and 12-speed setups — this is a direct upgrade you'll feel from the first pedal stroke.
