It’s time to Send-It-All. REFINED TUNING The new Sentinel may have a similar silhouette, but we’ve fully redesigned the frame with updated industrial design, features, and geometry to turn it up a notch. The leverage curve supports the bike higher in its travel, leaving plenty of room for big hits while keeping it light on its feet to remain nimble, and quick everywhere else. This gives it the lively, sporty attitude felt in the Spur and Smuggler without sacrificing its capabilities in rougher terrain. New size specific chainstays and a 64 degree headtube angle keep riders balanced with great traction on climbs and descents. All of this creates a bike that encourages new riders to push their limits, while ensuring a seasoned pro feels none. You will be ready to Send-it-all. REFINED DETAILS As riders ourselves, we took a step back and looked for ways to improve on the Sentinel. Not just for the sake of change, but for real tangible steps forward that riders will feel and experience. Starting with the most obvious, we added internal frame storage in the downtube of our carbon frame. The BOOM Box (Burritos Or Other Munchies) is positioned below and isolated from the water-bottle cage mount. This allows you to leave your bottle installed in your cage while easily getting into the B.O.O.M. Box, reducing clutter and fuss on the trail. It also prevents noise and potential failure since it doesn't place any weight on the door itself. With an easy access lever and two supplied gear bags, riders can stow away snacks, tools, a tube or anything else they want to have along for the ride The lower shock mount has a geo-adjust flip chip to accommodate mixed wheels, and features a new design that allows water, dirt and debris to easily wash away. Cable ports on the side of the headtube allow for easy and simple cable routing with customizable routing for mechanical or wireless shifting as well as left or right rear brake routing. The new port stops cables from getting kinked during a crash and holds them tight to prevent rattling. If you aren’t using the port at all, simply cover it with the supplied insert to prevent dirt or water getting inside your frame, as well as keeping a clean aesthetic. These ports help improve the look and quality of the frame, while remaining functional and simple for maintenance. Giddy-Up Suspension DesignWe want to make it as easy as possible to experience great rear suspension performance. The GiddyUp suspension system is designed to behave intuitively across a broad range of setup. Because, we get it, sometimes you just want to grab your bike and GiddyUp, without checking your setup. When you do, it will always feel good. With nearly 23% progression and the most current evolution of our GiddyUp suspension kinematic, the Spire has an excellent balance of support and small bump sensitivity. Anti-squat is tuned to enhance pedaling performance and provides a platform to push against when pumping, without sacrificing a bottomless feel when needed. The GiddyUp suspension layout is tuned to work correctly with both air and coil rear shocks. Riders are able to add or remove volume spacers in the rear air shock to suit their individual riding style and there is plenty of bottom out control with air or coil shocks when things get rowdy. The Spire has 170mm of rear wheel travel when used with the supplied 205mm x 65mm stroke shock. It is also possible to install a shorter, 205mm x 60mm stroke shock to decrease the rear wheel travel to 160mm if you are after a shorter travel experience. A suggested sag range of 27 - 33% allows the rider to tune the feel of the bike; from a firm and snappy jump and slash mode, to a more supple and active full on party mode. This translates to killer small bump compliance and great mid-stroke support that gradually transitions into an end of stroke ramp that is subtle, yet supportive. The amount of consistent progression is carefully optimized for both air and coil shocks. Riders are able to add or remove volume spacers in air shocks to suite their individual riding style and there is no compromise to bottom out support with coil shocks.
